Liquor Trading Hours - The Agulhas Municipality has published a notice to amend the
liquor trading hours for businesses licensed for off-consumption – liquor
stores, supermarkets, wholesalers, etc.
The current trading hours for off-consumption businesses are from
09h00-18h00 Monday-Saturday and 09h00
-16h00 on Sundays. The proposed, new
liquor trading hours are 08h00 – 20h00 on Monday to Saturday.
No Sunday trading
will be allowed under the proposed changes.
The suggested hours seem to propose a straight trade – off between
offering longer trading hours during the week and taking away Sunday
trading.
